…collecting smiles

After a great workout I can’t forget her face. She was smiling so much, throughout all the workout. Coach was by her side often, showing technique and explaining, but she just smiled. All the time.

He was completely wet, sweat was dripping like crazy. But that concentration on his face! You should have seen that. He had status to preserve, but he also has a mindset of doing the best he can no matter what he was doing. Meantime he enjoyed it. Every second of it. You could tell, how the passion kicked in.

At the beginning they were shy, silent. But they grew into the clothes and at the middle of the class you could hear motivational cheering and load grunting. The joy was bubbling out of them like champagne from the bottle. After the class one of them said to coach, that she will return.

All these people – they dared to try something new. And in return received not only a unique experience, in addition endorphins were doing their part and these people left the gym with positive emotions. Of course – not always you will enjoy the new thing from the first time. Sometimes that joy comes after couple of times. Sometimes it is just not meant for you and you need to try something else. But those lucky persons who took the first step to try something new – applied, considered to cancel, got scared, but still showed up. They had made the best investment into themselves. And not only into themselves. I got something out of it too. I got their smiles. I´ve been collecting them. Those shy smiles, those brave smiles, those incredibly true smiles. Confident smiles. They all are unforgettable for me. All of them can be found in gyms I´ve been.

One person said to me, that my eyes sparkle when I talk about exercising. But it is not just that I genuinely like it incredibly. It is that I remember those smiles which I see around me. Those smiles which makes it all worth it. And also makes me smile. And my smile maybe also affects someone else. And with every smile the world gets better. Isn´t it magical?
